If you have been notified of your liability of removal/deportation from the Home Office, you may be able to apply for an urgent Judicial Review to try and secure an Injunction to prevent your removal from the United Kingdom.
When applying for an injunction, you are requesting a judge to issue an order to stop your removal or to ask for further time to allow the Judicial Review process to take place.
To apply for the emergency measure of an injunction, you need to complete the form for permission for a judicial review, unless a Judicial Review has already been lodged. Please see our Judicial Review page for more information.
You need to explain why the application is urgent, and how quickly you require the application to be considered. This is likely to be before the end of your removal notice period.
Applying for Judicial Review is not enough to prevent deportation. In most cases, if permission to proceed with a Judicial Review is granted, the Home Office will only defer removal, rather than cancel it.
However, the Home Office will not defer removal any of the following conditions are met:The prospect of being removed against your will can be a distressing time.
